Enjoying being around other people; outgoing and sociable.

Example sentence

“He's so gregarious that he makes friends everywhere he goes.”

In biology it is technical and neutral: gregarious species live in flocks and herds. Applied to people it is warmer than 'extroverted' and carries no clinical baggage.
